Mission Notes declassified by Chief of Security 7-25-99 Target: BotCon 99 TFM at BotCon 99: We came, we saw, we sold out. No one expected us to be there. Even after the convention, no one knew it was us.We can't tell you the details of how, or where, or why. Only that we were there, and blew away the prices on other dealers thru our planted operative. Mint complete Jazz? $30. Mint complete Starscream? $30. The other dealers didn't stand a chance. We emptied our warehouse in this noble effort. We took a loss, but TFM isn't about profit. Its about helping the fans. And thats exactly what we did. Many a happy collector was made at our booth. The collectors will not remember our name; but they will long remember the incredible deals they got. The transfans who got the good deals need only know that it it was us operating in the background. And to expect us to do the same thing again next year. We will undercut the established dealer price! If you were a dealer, and wondered why your sales were so slow in the beginning on Saturday...wonder no more. It was us. The TF Militia. Lee's AFN be damned...we will NOT honor those numbers. We will do better. The fans deserve better. If we had only one regret, it was that we didn't have more product to offer you. At such low prices, what we all brought with us sold out very quickly. We will redouble our efforts to secure more product thru any means in order to provide you with the cheapest and the best at BotCon 2000.
So if you've been wondering all this time what we are all about...wonder no more. Tremble in fear. We are the TFM. We were at Botcon this year, and we will be there again. Count on it. |
