I dunno what to think. Granted, I like the homage, and I can almost understand the reasoning, but come on...Shockwave (or Shockblast, if you must) was a big honkin' space gun. He can't be confused with a 'real' gun like Megatron might be. So why not give him a proper gun mode? Here's what I do... I consider this a proper Shockwave mode. If you notice, this matches the angle of the original version's handle, making for a convincing display.

This second one, while more sturdy, reminds me more of Sixshot. If I've heard correctly, this fellow is going to be recolored and renamed Sixshot, so the secondary gunmode fits rather well, then...at least, in my little world. :-)

And what's the deal with Sixshot? He can't be reissued in the USA because he has a gun-mode? Give me a break. Just don't tell people about that mode. It's not a very convincing gun anyways. Invent a 'military satellite' mode, or something. ;-) Besides...I just bought this thing at Shopko today, and it doesn't have the red safety cap, nor any goofy paint scheme...it looks like a real gun. We can sell this, but not Sixshot? |
