In the pics where there are three items or parts or whatever, the one on the left is my G1 Optimus (standard issue one, dark blue/purpley in color, non-bloated hands and gun), the center one is my Spanish (gold boxed) Optimus, and the one on the right is my reissue Convoy. When there's only two, it should be fairly obvious which one is the G1 Optimus, and which one is the reissue Convoy, but in case it isn't, the one on the left is the G1, one on the right is the reissue...
The hose on the reissue is solid, not hollow. (That's because there ARE no hollow Prime hoses, those were from GI Joe.) The copyright on the reissue trailer is 1993...G2 mold it appears. The G1 hands do not fit into the reissue's arm sockets... it's too tight. So it's a fair bet all the peg holes in the reissue are made to G2 standards.
After examining parts and scans, it would appear to be so. The main gun has the thick nub under the main barrel, and the nozzle has a thick tip, just like G2. One interesting thing are the moldings to the fists: the peg is rounded, and there is an extreme ridge to the gun-hole, unlike the fists in the American series. (I do recall a slight ridge on one of the American fist-sets...can anyone refresh my memory as to which version?)
Although the Prime in Australia we are told, DID come with that huge gun-hole ridge (but not a rounded peg).
All I ask in return for the pics is that you credit me and give a big fat link to my website, http://www.masterforce.org. :) I'll put yours in my links section soon, too. I'm just getting all the links I want in it organized...should be up this weekend. Hope this stuff helps! Will get back to you on the other issues when I get a chance. Stupid school and work... -Ginrai
