In Japan, pre-Ironhide came in black, while in Italy, he came in both black and red versions. The later black version in Italy, we are told, came with a Takara-dates stamp, while Japan (and the Diakron version in the USA) came as Takara-only.

There was also the ambulance version: Japanese has the kanji writing on the hand sticker, while the GiG (and Joustra) versions) do not. An unconfirmed rumor: Some have pointed to a version with a small red cross on the hand, versus having the small blurks on the handsticker. Maz makes note of the following: "Some of them also have the complex wheel mould, later ones just have the little bolt in the middle like TF SUnstreaker wheels. But stick to the text and stamping to tell the difference."
