The original Cheetor was in production longer than any of the other original Beast Wars. Cheetor shipped through the third wave of Deluxe figures when the other originals had long since been discontinued. There are three versions of Cheetor, with blue, red, and green eye colors. Blue-eyed Cheetor is found on rocky-bubble cards; red-eyed and green-eyed Cheetor are found on smooth bubble cards. The red-eyed variant is the most difficult to find as it shipped in the most limited quanitites, and green-eyed Cheetor is the most common. By the way, in the Beast Wars TV show, Cheetor's beast eyes are green in beast mode, but when in robot form the beast eyes are red. Cheetor has gone through three card backers. The first, which shipped as a rocky blister, does not have a point specification in the assortment number. When it shipped in the second wave with red eyes, it became .01. When Cheetor continued shipping through the third Deluxe wave, Hasbro updated the card back to match the others in the assortment, making it .02. The Mask of Cheetor:
Additionally, the robot and battle mask eyes have different colors. The blue-eyed and red-eyed Cheetors have robot heads and battle masks with gold eyes. The green-eyed Cheetor has green eyes on the robot head and battle mask. |
